Global Impact Coalition (GIC) will be present at the World Economic Forum’s 56th Annual Meeting in Davos on 19th to 23rd January 2026.

The event sets off the new year for the coalition. Commencing with GIC’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) where member CEOs and leaders come together to reconnect, review the previous year and align on priorities for 2026, including a key focus on impactful emissions reduction projects. Richard Haldimann, Chief Strategy & Technology Officer at Clariant and Chairman of GIC, will be moderating the AGM and has been actively developing the successful coalition alongside CEO Charlie Tan since its spin off in 2023 from the World Economic Forum.

GIC will be hosting the panel event ‘Driving Resilience: Circularity as Catalyst for Future Chemical Supply Chains’ on Wednesday 21st January 2026 10.00-11.00 at ICEhouse™. Alongside Charlie Tan, the panel will discuss how manufacturing-intensive sectors will cross-collaborate to enhance circularity, supply security and reduce emissions. They will explore advanced materials, chemical innovation and new recovery pathways to help achieve this goal by showcasing GIC’s pilots and projects within the chemical industry and how circular models can strengthen competitiveness and accelerate the transition to more durable and future proof value chains.

In addition to this panel event, Charlie Tan will be the moderator on From Molecules to Markets: Advancing Chemicals value chains towards Net-zero ambitions on Tuesday 20th January 17.00-17.45 at the ICE Village. The panellists, who are leaders across the chemical and downstream sectors, will be asked to discuss how collaboration and finance can continue advancing the transition to net-zero. There will be a particular focus on commercial pathways, offtake agreements, shared investment models and cross-sector partnerships to turn low-carbon and circular technologies into scalable solutions. GIC will be showcasing the importance and effectiveness of collaboration in its project success in reducing risk and encouraging investment.
