Global Impact Coalition at K Fair on Oct 8-13, 2025 in Dusseldorf

At K 2025 – World’s No. 1 Trade Fair for Plastics & Rubber, the Global Impact Coalition (GIC), a CEO-led initiative driving a net-zero and circular future for chemicals and plastics, will host several sessions to engage with companies and share progress on plastic circularity.

GIC Program Overview:

GIC Sponsored Panel: Driving Circularity under the ELV Directive: Inside the Global Impact Coalition’s Automotive Plastics Circularity Pilot

This panel will explore early insights from the Global Impact Coalition’s Automotive Plastics Circularity pilot, a cross-industry effort to increase the recycling and reuse of plastics from end-of-life vehicles (ELVs). Leaders from the chemical industry will share lessons from the pilot’s first nine months and discuss what’s needed—technically, commercially, and collaboratively—to scale circular solutions in line with evolving EU regulations.

Speakers:

  • Dr. Matthias Scheibitz, Head of Sustainability Strategy, BASF Performance Materials
  • Dr. Peter Schwarz, Head of Sustainability Technologies, Covestro
  • Dr. Erik Licht, Director New Business Development, APS Europe, LyondellBasell
  • John Mortell, Senior Policy Manager, PlasticsEurope
  • Amanda Martin, Communications Lead, Global Impact Coalition

When: Thursday, Oct 9, 13-13:45 CET
