As we strive to achieve a net-zero transition, the chemical industry – which accounts for 6% of global annual greenhouse gas emissions – stands as a key player in this effort. This journey must involve all members of the value chain, encompassing not only downstream stakeholders and end-users but also extending upstream, including key regulatory stakeholders and the finance community.
This session, building on the work of the newly launched Global Impact Coalition, brought together experts, thought leaders, and practitioners from the chemical industry and beyond to explore the synergies that can transform our world. From innovative business models, regulatory engagement, and cross-industry collaboration, we aim to connect the dots between these vital components, with a view to fostering a new era of sustainable yet realistic solutions that propel us toward a brighter, more harmonious future.
