In this session, the moderator presents an overview of the Global Impact Coalition’s mission to foster value creation through trust and collaboration within the chemical industry and its value chain partners. Panellists delve into the cultivation of trust across the value chain and identify gaps in the current “industry operating model” delaying the achievement of net-zero commitments by 2050.
The session explores the potential of forging new and perhaps unconventional partnerships to drive the chemical industry towards a more sustainable and resilient future with lower carbon emissions, examining the existing challenges. Emphasis is placed on understanding how coalitions like the Global Impact Coalition can serve as a platform to gather industry best practices, define collaborative models across the value chain, and facilitate tangible actions.
