The chemical industry is the foundation of our global economy, providing essential materials, technologies and building blocks for over 95% of all manufactured goods. But it is also responsible for a significant portion (about 6%) of global greenhouse gas emissions and resource use. To change the ways of doing business and lead the transition, companies must collaborate. The challenge is too big for any single company alone to solve. The Global Impact Coalition provides a platform and safe space to exchange ideas, develop new business models and create proof-of-concept pilots. Together, we can enable a net zero chemical industry!
Who We Are
The Global Impact Coalition is a first of its kind collaboration of global leaders in the chemical industry. We are supported by an expanding expert community of over 100 senior executives in the chemical industry and adjacent sectors.
Together we are enabling a pathway to net-zero emissions by:
Addressing technology, regulatory, funding, and market challenges to reduce carbon emissions and advance circularity
Collaborating with and beyond the industry to develop and scale-up more sustainable technologies
Developing real-life projects to transform traditional operating models in key value chains into net-zero systems

Build proof-of-concept pilots & advance new technologies:
The GIC helps incubate and catalyse proof-of-concept projects to speed up the adoption and scaling of emissions-reducing technologies.
Forge cross-sector partnerships:
Aimed at forging alliances within industries and across value chains, GIC works to tackle high-risk challenges not suited for traditional commercial partnerships.
Facilitate collaboration and knowledge exchange:
GIC provides a safe space for transparent dialogue and information sharing, helping deepen the collective understanding of challenges and solutions to achieve industry-wide sustainability goals.
