The pilot tackles one of the toughest challenges in plastics recycling: recovering materials from End-of-Life Vehicles (ELVs). By optimizing dismantling, shredding, and sorting, the project aims to unlock access to high-quality polymer feedstocks for closed-loop use in new automotive plastic parts. As we move into the final stage of material sorting and recycling trials, we are planning for a second phase with deeper collaboration with OEMs.

In this invite-only session, GIC project members will share an overview of the pilot, early findings to date, and initiate the discussion on the path forward.
